I am energized to continue building on the opportunities we have created at Clean Seed Capital Group. In an industry where decades have passed without notable change a new visionary approach has taken shape. Feeding our increasingly complex world requires critical innovations, providing tremendous opportunities for Clean Seed to leverage its cornerstone assets and its team.
We are a proudly Canadian pioneer of seeding and planting technologies with a proven track record in intellectual property development. Now is the time to leverage Clean Seed’s strengths by using our extensive expertise to achieve, grow and target agriculture diversification.
We intend to extend our lead in this area by developing innovative synergistic technologies that will deliver real benefits to drive global crop production. Our team can evolve, think, innovate and produce at an incredibly high level and we pride ourselves as progress facilitators that can quickly turn viable ideas into commercially viable products. Our convictions run deep; we designed our team to be a cross functional agricultural group of professionals representing all key user groups in the farming cycle, thus ensuring we are meeting the future needs of the industry.
With the world’s attention focused on feeding a growing population, enormous amounts of capital are flowing into agriculture. Investments into our sector are into the billions annually and according to Cleantech Group, much of the investment is flowing into data collection, mapping and farm analysis. This technological revolution in data collection and analysis aligns perfectly with the Clean Seed’s technology base.
We believe the next agro/tech revolution involves how and where we apply crop inputs. If you follow the money, you’ll see that new technologies are emerging to do a better job of collecting, mapping, processing and analyzing data than ever before. This data is being used to address the physical, chemical and biological constraints that limit current plant genetics from reaching their full potential. At Clean Seed, we believe existing crop genetics have the capacity to double yields in a holistic manner. Doing so requires a deep focus of supporting each plant inside each furrow by delivering its individual needs to allow each plant to reach its fullest potential.
We forecasted this technological revolution was coming and developed the CX-6 Smart Seeder and Smart Planter technologies to be true industry firsts Why a seeding and planting tool as our first cornerstone innovation? We know seeding is the best time in a plants life to influence the physical, chemical and biological environment surrounding it. With our CX-6 SMART Seeder™, farmers and agronomists for the first time can apply high-resolution prescriptions that place equal amount of seed, fertilizer and amendments inside each and every furrow. What seems so logical has not been achievable until the CX-6 SMART Seeder™ was unveiled. The exceptional features of our CX-6 SMART Seeder™ is only the beginning of what can be achieved.
We are excited to see the amount of capital pouring into agricultural at such a record level. To increase food production, manage our resources better and increase farm profitability we need every plant inside every furrow to perform to the best of its genetic capability. To do that our thinking must shift away from the average to the accurate, from the field to the furrow. Farmers and land managers need the tools that combine complexity with simplicity so they can get the job done safely, consistently, accurately and efficiently.
Our company has withstood market downturns in the agricultural sector and has taken advantage of this window in the business cycle to thrive as the future becomes ever more present. We have built a company with a deep-rooted agriculture foundation that is strong enough to seek growth opportunities and poised to outperform our competitors in the coming years. Our plans for the years ahead will center around creating long-term value by continuing to be the very best we can be at our core, providing plenty of opportunities to facilitate new progress in sustainable agriculture.
