July 7th, 2022 - Vancouver, British Columbia - Clean Seed Capital Group Ltd. (“Clean Seed” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: CSX and OTCQB: CLGPF) is pleased to provide an update on its MINI-MAX™ program in India. Further to our May 5, 2022 update, our MINI-MAX™ landed in India and Clean Seed has successfully completed its initial demonstrations and educational sessions with a number of fundamental parties at the core of our efforts in India.
Government of Canada and Government of Saskatchewan
Our warm welcome in India could not have been made possible without the support and extensive planning of the Government of Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan. We are grateful to Mr. Patrick Hébert, Consul General of Canada in India, Mr. Blair Hudvma, Government of Saskatchewan, and all of the staff and colleagues that supported our program, allowing us to hit the ground running in Chandigarh, India.
Minister of Agriculture and Director of Agriculture – Government of Haryana
Clean Seed’s President, Colin Rush, and its VP of Operations and Product Development, Jeet Jheetey had the distinct pleasure of meeting with Mr. JP Dalal, Minister of Agriculture, Government of Haryana. Haryana is a key agriculture producing region of India and our SMART Seeder™ technology could fundamentally shift crop production to a more sustainable manner by way of soil conservation, precision seed placement and above all, fertilizer management and efficiency in planting and seeding operations in India. Mr. Dalal also setup fruitful meetings with his Director of Agriculture to ensure Clean Seed has full unwavering support from his offices.
Farmer Owned Cooperative and CII Business Group
Our team then met with a large farmer cooperative representing over 12,000 farmers. They spent a few days educating the group on the advantages of adopting the SMART Seeder™ technology regionally and the meaningful advancements that follow which created interest with progressive influencers looking to scale profitable farming operations on large acres of agricultural land. Sustainability and advancements in modern agriculture were at the forefront of discussions, surrounded more importantly by their needs, goals and approaches in their region.
Ministry of Agriculture – Government of Punjab
It was also a pleasure to be introduced and to meet with Mr. Sarvjit Singh, ACS Ministry of Agricultural, Government of Punjab, to discuss how we can rapidly deploy a suite of SMART Seeder technology options for producers that drive fertilizer efficiency, precision seed placement and one pass no-till sustainability. Mr. Singh offered strong support as we walked through working with local partnerships to ensure farmers in the region that value, quality and affordability are all within reach of the majority. Clean Seed is looking forward to further explore opportunities with the ACS Ministry of Agriculture in the coming months.
Chandigarh University Partnerships
Thank you to Chandigarh University for officially partnering with Clean Seed as our SMART Seeder MINI-MAX™ testing and demonstration partner in India. Chandigarh University is one of the largest and most progressive universities in the country and hosted the completion of our initial demonstrations on university grounds. We would also like to thank Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu for access to the University facilities, staff and expertise to providing this solid demonstration and academic platform for SMART Seeder MINI-MAX™, and Mr. Patrick Hébert, Consul General, for observing and supporting the opportunities for Canadian agricultural technology partnerships in India.
CLAAS Hospitality and Invitation for Tours
Clean Seed welcomed the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the CLAAS India Moringa factory. A special thank you to G. Eric Raby Mrityunjaya Singh, and Bhawish Awasthy of CLAAS for organizing such a warm welcome. Touring this progressive manufacturing facility, producing innovative Dominator and Crop Tiger CLAAS combine harvesters for India and Southeast Asia markets was a fantastic highlight.
